THE LAKEFRONT

Known on the lake as Pier 360, the lakefront area is NBBC's pride and joy. Here campers can swim and receive swim lessons in the clear, spring-fed waters of beautiful Geneva Lake. Everyday at 11:00am, rain or shine, the historic Walworth II mailboat passes by our pier as a mail jumper drop off NBBC’s mail and newspapers. This is a daily event that is unique to Geneva Lake and never fails to disappoint any audience! Lakefront camper activities include: kayaking, power boat rides, fishing, hiking, water festival, games, and sports. The pier and beach swimming areas have full-time certified life guards and volunteer aquatic observers to safely keep an eye on all our campers.

THE MAIN BUILDING

Located along the shoreline of Geneva Lake, our historic Main Building is the center of life. It contains the Office, Kitchen, Dining Room and Chapel on its main floor. Dating prior to our camp’s founding in 1909, it is one of the original buildings on the property. It boasts a long, iconic open air porch which sprawls across its entire length. The outstanding view of the lake from the Main Building porch is unsurpassed. Camp's Refectory and Game Room are located on the lower level.

BOWMAN CHAPEL

Campers gather each morning in our chapel for devotions. The chapel was named in honor of Louis Bowman, who served on NBBC's Board of Directors for over 20 years. FUN FACT: Bowman is best known for introducing the phrase "under God" into the United States' Pledge of Allegiance. NBBC holds Sunday school and church services for our cottager volunteers in this chapel every Sunday during the summer season. The public is welcome to attend. The chapel also hosts our traditional Vespers Service on Tuesday evenings and our campers’ Talent Show on Thursday evenings.

GAME ROOM AND REFECTORY

The Game Room is one of our camper’s favorite places. Here they play ping pong, pool, air hockey, and basketball. Because its located under our Main Building, it’s one of the "coolest" places in camp on a hot summer night. The adjacent Refectory offers nightly treats of ice cream and candy along with board games and a free library. The “Rec Room” and “Ice Cream Store” are the most popular places to hang out.

THE CRAFT HOUSE

Built in 1962, the historic Betty Mitchell Memorial Craft House is the center of creativity where our campers can express themselves artistically through a wide array of arts & crafts projects, talent show rehearsals, and rainy day activities.

THE PLAYGROUND AND SPORT COURT

Located on the Upper Hill our modern playground provides a safe space for campers to enjoy even more outdoor recreational activities playing on swings, slides, our jungle gym, see saw, and zip line. Gaga ball was recently introduced and has been an immediate hit. The Upper Hill is also the location of NBBC's outdoor fireplace and picnic area.

Our Sports Court hosts an array of recreational activities including basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, dance parties, and more.
